Fire Safety Training
Providing fire safety training for your staff is a legal requirement of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. Ensuring the training is delivered by suitably qualified, experienced professionals is essential for the modern-day workplace.
Having properly trained staff may be the difference between bringing a relatively minor fire incident quickly and safely under control, or triggering a rapidly deteriorating sequence of events which may have devastating consequences for your business and the people you are responsible for.
Our fire safety instructor has over 26 years experience as a firefighter and spent 8 years in the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service National Training Centre, training firefighters of all ranks in many areas of emergency response. He is currently an operational Watch Commander and Specialist Rescue Technician. In his present role he attends incidents in the workplace on a daily basis. This means he is best placed to deliver training relevant to your staff, delivered on a level they will understand and fully engage with.
Our courses are approved by the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and cover the following:
- Fire warden training
- Introduction to Fire Safety
- Fire routines, evacuations and means of escape
- Fire extinguisher identification and application
- Fire legislation
- Fire risk assessment
The courses can be held in-house or at a venue provide by us.
